Nice place, but there is one long-term camper on circle 1 that is really trashing up the place. Disappointed that you let this happen.
Nice stay even with the rain. Wish the office was open at least for a couple hours on the weekends.
What an outstanding campground. Most sites have power, water, and sewer. The power is available in several amperages. The bathrooms we're well maintained and clean. Many sites have paved pads for parking. The lake was nice with occasional life guard service. My only complaint would be that some roads are narrow and the trees could be trimmed back to allow easier passage.
I drove around Pine View today to see what it was like and was pleasantly surprised. Well planned out and kept up with friendly and helpful staff. Whether you are strictly a tent camper or have an RV, there are plenty of lovely sites for you - almost all wooded and some on the water. Each has a fire ring. I could see myself staying for several days. There are also activities available at very reasonable prices: volleyball, paddle boats, canoe rental, shuffleboard, miniature golf, paintball... There is a nice sandy beach for swimming, playgrounds, a camp store with all the basics, a laundry, fishing, and picnicking pavilions. If you don't have camping equipment, there are several of a variety of campers available as well as cabins, yurts, and a duplex. Group camping sections are available. Restrooms are placed throughout the area. There are hiking trails and a sportsman's shooting range. I was amazed at what I saw and would like to find a time to go. It's open year round. Fall colors are beautiful.
Camping on an army post. You will hear gunfire from the ranges. Other than that, the cleanest best maintained campground I have ever been to. Friendly staff. The older section sites are fairly tight. Smaller trailers. 2 newer loops with huge sites.
